Verid
Deploys Customer Information Portal for
Global Communication Semiconductors
Maynard, MA, June 12, 2001 – Verid Technology Corporation, a
leading manufacturing consulting and software integration firm,
today announced that it has designed and implemented a
business-to-customer information portal application for Global
Communication Semiconductors, Inc. (GCS).
The portal enables authorized GCS customers to view real-time
production status information through an interactive application on
the GCS web site.

web-based customer-focused information solution,” said Doug

“Through our manufacturing and business systems expertise,
we were able to architect the solution on an integration platform
allowing GCS to utilize their manufacturing system to achieve a
global information service for their customers.”
GCS collaborated with Verid to develop and seamlessly integrate
the business-to-customer reporting application with their
manufacturing system. Verid
successfully deployed GCS’ manufacturing system in 1999.
The new application allows authorized customers of GCS to
view production status reports of their orders from anywhere in the
world using a standard web browser.

Global Communication Semiconductors Inc., based in Torrance,
California, is an ISO 9002 certified company. GCS provides compound
semiconductor foundry services to the telecommunication and high-speed

both InGaP and AlGaAs processes. Additionally, GCS is delivering
optoelectonic devices such as VCSEL and PIN diodes for fiber communication
market and is providing SAW filter foundry service for handset applications.
