Bill Vitez Joins Global Communication Semiconductors
as Director of Marketing & Sales
New Director of Marketing & Sales Targets Customer
Expansion Efforts
Torrance, CA – February 17, 2000 – 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time -- Mr.
Bill Vitez has joined Global Communication Semiconductors (GCS)
Inc. as Director of Marketing & Sales. Reporting to Dr. Owen Wu,
President and CEO, Bill will be responsible for developing and expanding
current and future business opportunities.

" Mr. Vitez has over 15 years of experience in wireless communications
and Microwave RF (Radio Frequency) products. His most recent assignment
was as the Director of Marketing and Sales for RF-Link Technology,
Inc., a high-tech wireless communications company.

company such as GCS", comments Bill. "Due to the explosion of wireless
products in the consumer marketplace, especially at frequencies
beyond 900MHz, and the need for faster and faster networking speeds,
there is phenomenal growth potential for GaAs material and foundry

Global Communication Semiconductors Inc., based in Torrance,
California, is an ISO 9002 certified company. GCS provides compound
semiconductor foundry services to the telecommunication and high-speed
networking industries. It currently offers HBT foundry service for
both InGaP and AlGaAs processes. Additionally, GCS is delivering
optoelectonic devices such as VCSEL and PIN diodes for fiber communication
market and is providing SAW filter foundry service for handset applications.
The company also plans to offer PHEMT foundry services in the first
quarter of 2000.
