-- In its commitment to deliver the highest quality and most cost-effective
foundry services to the GaAs compound semiconductor industry, GCS
has achieved ISO9002 certification. Company President and CEO, Dr.
Owen Wu, comments, "Quality First is our commitment to foundry customers.
The quality of our wafers and manufacturing process is deeply instilled
into the company. The ISO9002 certification is a good indicator
that we have been on track with our quality management."
Global Communication Semiconductors Inc., based in Torrance,
California, is an ISO 9002 certified company. GCS provides compound
semiconductor foundry services to the telecommunication and high-speed
networking industries. It currently offers HBT foundry service for
both InGaP and AlGaAs processes. Additionally, GCS is delivering
optoelectonic devices such as VCSEL and PIN diodes for fiber communication
market and is providing SAW filter foundry service for handset applications.
The company also plans to offer PHEMT foundry services in the first
quarter of 2000.
